Ajoy Krishna

Born in a small town in Bihar, India, Ajoy Krishna was familiar with adversity from a tender age, living amidst heart-wrenching poverty. Yet, from these bleak circumstances, a passion for art blossomed, nurtured by his artist mother who became his beacon of inspiration. As he grew, Ajoy dabbled in art competitions and began to earn social acclaim.
Despite facing significant opposition from the society, who deemed art a mere hobby unfit for a stable career, Ajoy's determination remained unwavering. A pivotal moment came during an art exhibition in Jaipur, where he was advised to pursue formal education in art. Through sheer will and talent, he secured a spot at the prestigious Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Life at BHU was a mix of challenges and growth. To sustain himself, Ajoy undertook various jobs from painting sarees to designing book covers.
During his tenure at BHU, Ajoy explored the world of street photography, earning accolades from international photographers. Graduating with honors, Ajoy's next challenge awaited in Delhi, where the stark realities of the professional world hit him. However, with resilience, he found an opportunity at McCann-Erikson, Publicis, Lowe and climbed the ranks, eventually achieving the role of Creative Director.
Yet, the drive for personal fulfillment propelled him to quit and begin his entrepreneurial journey, focusing on commercial and street photography. His photos, often capturing the essence of Indian culture, have earned him widespread recognition.
Ajoy's journey underscores his core belief: "Dream big, stay positive and enjoy the journey." Truly, his story is testament to the idea that behind every self-made individual lies a dreamer who dared to chase their vision.
